Did you catch Crowded House on their North American tours in 2007 and 2010? Fancy hearing that show again? CDs and MP3/FLAC downloads of selected concerts are available at

From the extensive collection of videos here at neilfinn.com/videos , this is “Tombstone” off the first Crowded House album.
Neil Finn was a surprise guest during Kirin J Callinan’s set at Melbourne’s Sugar Mountain Festival in January. Liam Finn’s appearance was even more surprising! (video not safe for viewing at work… or while drinking coffee…)

Neil Finn’s iTunes Session is available now to pre-order from iTunes.
Recorded at Roundhead Studios in Auckland late last year, the exclusive seven-track set includes brilliant live versions of four tracks from Neil’s third solo album Dizzy Heights and also a previously unreleased and reworked version of the well-known Crowded House song `Something So Strong`. Entitled especially for this release `Something So Strong Naive`, this is the first time the song has been recorded in this form, close to the way it was originally written.
As Neil says, “It was a pure joy to record my first iTunes Session completely live with my band after all last year’s touring and knowing intimately, all the cracks and grooves of the songs but still discovering delicate new spaces to inhabit. This music is seriously good.”
Neil Finn – iTunes Session is released on Friday Feb 6th in Australia and New Zealand and from Feb 9th/10th elsewhere. Pre-order now: https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/itunes-session/id957832852

Over two hundred members of Toronto’s Choir!Choir!Choir! sang this lovely rendition of Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over”. Thank you to Daveed, Nobu and all.
I had the good fortune to hear Ronnie whistle when he opened up for me in Auckland on the Try Whistling This tour . He was a master at his profession, as good as any bird I’ve heard and a charming funny man to go with it .

Ronnie Ronalde died in England on 13th January 2015, aged 91. Here he is performing Johann Strauss II’s “Tritsch Tratsch Polka” on Ronnie’s 75th birthday, 29th June 1998 at St James Theatre, Auckland. This was the last night of Neil’s “Try Whistling This” tour of New Zealand.
To celebrate the announcement of their gig at the Auckland Zoo, Tim, Neil & Liam Finn played a cover of the Split Enz classic “Dirty Creature” in the Radio Hauraki studio and spoke to Mikey Havoc.
Auckland Zoo is set to host another amazing concert this summer when Tim, Neil and Liam Finn take the rotunda stage to play a selection of their combined catalogues of songs, old and new.
The three Finns have never performed together at an event quite like this and the trio are clearly excited at the prospect.
“Neil, Liam and myself look forward to playing each others’ well known songs in the Summer twilight when all the animals stir and leave their shelter, turn to each other and perform their rites. We will comb through the catalogues of Split Enz, Crowded House, Finn Brothers and Liam’s solo work to find the right tunes for the occasion. A rare gathering of brothers, uncles, cousins and crocodiles.” says Tim.
And Neil concurs. “It’s a rare and wonderful thing to perform on stage with other songwriters you deeply admire and respect even more special when they happen to be closest family. What a good thought ! We’ll be together on a summer evening, prancing and cavorting, adding some sweet Finn harmonies to the evening chorus at the zoo” .
When asked, Liam Finn agrees that this show is one in a million. “I have grown up playing Dad and Tim’s songs which has always been fun and a big part of what made me the me the musician I am today. I am especially excited to get to perform and hear my songs with both of their voices and flourishes. This will be a night at the zoo to remember!”
The Auckland Zoo concert is a child friendly environment. Gates open at 5pm with an approximate show time of 7.00pm
