Taste Of Something Divine (studio demo)
Neil Finn/Nick Seymour/Mark Hart/Peter Jones/Paddy Free

How much does it take to get you all worked up
I should be enough to make you shiver
How much does it take to get you all worked up

Ooh mother when you squeeze
When you squeeze too much

When you feel the flavour
And you taste the pure light
And the touch is hunger
Well the taste is something divine
If you see the flavour
And you taste the pure light
When the touch is hunger
Well the taste is something divine

Ooh mother when you tear
When you tear me down
It makes me me feel that I won't be the one you want
Ooh mother when you squeeze
When you squeeze too much
I feel like coming home

If you see the flavour
And you taste the pure light
And the touch is hunger
Well the taste is something divine
Can you feel the dawning
Of a grand and better time
Can see the flavour
The taste is something divine

How much does it take to get you all worked up
I should be enough to make you shiver
How much does it take to get you all worked up
Should be enough to make you shiver
How much does it take to make you shiver
Make you shiver

Ooh mother when you squeeze
When you squeeze too much
It makes me want to be
Be the one that's losing touch

How much does it take to get you all worked up
It should be enough to make you shiver
How much does it take to get you all worked up
It should be enough to make you shiver

Taste of Something Divine features New Zealand electronic musician, Paddy Free.

There was a lot of electronic stuff happening at the time. As a traditional four piece band, we were interested in that process.

We jammed it a lot and then went through and sampled bits from the jam that we liked. We laid out all these samples on a keyboard and then played a structure down and I made some loose vocal up.

There was an album after that, Try Whistling This, that I made solo where Paddy got involved as well.
