Back to Life
Neil & Liam Finn

I know you have a secret
There is no flavour as big as your thirst
I can find you underwater
Those faraway eyes
Joe mama calling out to me
Turn the light on

Your voice is commanding (COMMANDING AND I)
And I am loyal to the cause
My voice (MY VOICE) is demanding
To the gods come on
Bring her back to life
And immortalise

I’ve seen him
The well travelled man
There is no sorrow
That can’t be undone
You know every single word of
“Like A Rolling Stone”

Your voice is commanding (COMMANDING AND I)
And I am loyal to the cause
My voice (MY VOICE) is demanding
(DEMAND TO TO THE GODS COME ON)
With every passing day we multiply
And immortalise

Oh my love the night belongs to you
And Orpheus is playing his guitar
Our boats are tied up next to the bar
The more we sing the less we have to say
A kiss to make love

Your voice is commanding (COMMANDING AND I)
And I (AM LOYAL TO THE CAUSE)
My voice (MY VOICE) is demanding
(DEMAND TO TO THE GODS COME ON)
Will you bring us back to life

Bring us back to life back to life
It’s the only way ya learn
To keep the flame aglow
When I come back I promise that
When I’m on the run
It’s the only way ya learn
To keep the flame aglow
With every passing day we multiply

Neil & Liam Finn - Lightsleeper (2018)

Live: Fangradio 2020

We spent three hours on a Sunday afternoon dressing up and posing with some of our friends, mere mortals applying the greasepaint to escape our earthly chains... Behold, a little piece of theatre representing the way we try to summon up the gods of our songs, like Orpheus - challenging them to bring life to those loved ones who have departed. But alas, the gods seem listless and unconcerned, trapped in their own cycles of drama and intrigue.
